Waterton Lakes National Park

Today, July 11, was another beautiful day in Montana. First of all, Ethan and I celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary today. I seems like just yesterday we were teenagers putting around Lancaster in Ethan's 1931 Chevy...going to Tripp's for burgers and fries and to Nash's to play mini golf. We have been blessed with a wonderful family....our boys, daughter-in-laws and grandchildren and all our dear friends. We thank God every day for all He has given to us.....we are rich indeed.

Today we drove up to Waterton Lakes NP in Canada. It was a long drive on a very narrow, winding road (at least part of it). It is a small park with beautiful mountains and lakes. It has a lot of hiking trails, but we were not going to be hiking.

On our way back, we drove up Going-To-The-Sun Road on the east side of Glacier NP. The road was closed at Jackson Glacier overlook...so turned around and stopped down the road and hiked in to a lovely waterfall--St. Mary's waterfall.

We stopped along the way for dinner, and here we are at 9:45 p.m. just getting back to our home away from home.....and the sun is just setting!

On our way to Canada, we were greeted by a group of ladies and their children taking a little walk up the road.

This mountain is huge....it is called the Chief.

Taken in Waterton Village. We had a picnic by this lake....it was beautiful.

This is Cameron Lake pin Waterton NP....also a very beautiful place.

Back in Glacier....St. Mary's waterfall.

We were just getting ready to go back to our car and Ethan looked up and there was a deer just off the path.
